Debugging skills of automatic soldering machine

1. Blow air to keep the tip clean. After power on, the soldering head of the automatic soldering machine is in a high temperature state for a long time, and its surface is easy to be oxidized, which makes the thermal conductivity of the soldering iron worse and affects the welding quality. Therefore, in order to increase the service life of the soldering head of the soldering machine, the automatic blowing function is provided. The impurities on the soldering head of the soldering machine can be removed by wiping with a wet sponge. When the temperature is too high, the plug can be temporarily unplugged or dipped in rosin for cooling to ensure that the soldering head of the soldering machine can be well tinned at any time.




2. Notes on tin plating: If the surface of the weldment and solder joint is stained with rust, dirt or oxide, it shall be cleaned before welding to facilitate tin plating on the surface of the weldment or solder joint


3. The welding temperature shall be appropriate and shall not be too high or too low. In order to make the temperature suitable, an automatic soldering machine with appropriate power should be selected according to the size of electronic components. When the power supply of the selected automatic welding machine is constant, attention should be paid to controlling the length of heating time. When solder is automatically scattered from the soldering head to the object to be welded, it indicates that the heating time is sufficient. At this time, quickly remove the iron head, leaving smooth solder joints in the welding area. If there is no or less tin in the welding area after removing the automatic soldering machine, it means that the heating time is too short, the temperature is not enough, or the solder is too dirty; If the soldering tin flows down before the automatic soldering machine is taken out, it indicates that the heating time is too long and the temperature is too high. Generally, the temperature control of the soldering head is the best welding temperature when the flux melts quickly and does not smoke.


4. Tin content shall be moderate. The tin loading amount of the automatic soldering machine can be determined according to the size of the required solder joints, so that the solder is sufficient to cover the solder to form a smooth solder joint with appropriate size. The solder joint is not too much tin, but too much tin is better. On the contrary, this kind of solder joint is more likely to be a faulty solder joint, but the solder is stacked on it rather than welded on it. If the amount of tin applied at one time is not enough, it can be repaired again, but it must be melted together with the previous tin before soldering; If too much tin is applied at one time, use a soldering iron to take a proper amount.


5. The welding time must be well controlled, not too long. Reasonable control of welding time is also an important part of welding skills. If it is PCB welding. Generally, 1-2S is preferred. If the welding time is too long, the flux in the solder will be completely volatilized, the flux will be lost, the solder joint surface will be oxidized, and the solder joint surface will be rough, black, not shiny, burr or flow. At the same time, the soldering time is too long and the temperature is too high, which is easy to burn the copper foil of components or printed circuit boards. If the welding time is too short to reach the welding temperature, the solder can not be fully melted, affecting the wetting of the flux, and it is easy to cause false welding.


6. Remember not to touch the solder joint and shake the pad before the solder joint solidifies. One is to prevent scalding; the other is that touching and shaking the pad will deform the solder joint before solidification, which may cause poor appearance of the solder joint, or even false soldering. Therefore, it is necessary to fix the weldment properly during the welding and withdrawal of the soldering head of the soldering machine, such as using a fixture, or blowing air after the removal of the soldering head to shorten the solidification time of the solder joint.


7. After a solder joint is welded, it is particularly important to select the withdrawal angle of the soldering head of the soldering machine. Evacuate the soldering head of the soldering machine diagonally upward, and a small amount of tin beads will be taken away from the soldering head of the soldering machine, which can form smooth solder joints; When the soldering head of the soldering machine is pulled out vertically, a solder joint with sharp burrs will be formed; When the soldering head of the soldering machine is drawn out horizontally, the soldering head of the soldering machine will take away most of the tin beads.
